Dolphus Bannister launched Bannister Electric LLC in 2004 after 15 years of hands on experience and graduating from The National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee in 2001. From humble beginnings, Bannister Electric has grown into a well-respected commercial and residential electrical service company serving all of North Louisiana. Dolphus received his Louisiana state electrical license in 2004 and in 2009 he saw that solar energy was a bright star on the horizon, and the title of “Solar Installer” was added to his Louisiana electrical license.
In 2010, Dolphus was joined by his brother Danny Bannister. Danny started learning the solar and energy efficiency business in 2009 and filled the position of sales manager and solar designer for Bannister Electric. In 2011, Bannister Electric LLC formed Bannister Solar & Energy Solutions to improve market awareness and name recognition within the solar arena. Our installation and design team now has better than 100 solar installations to its credit. This experience along with extensive electrical knowledge is a tremendous asset to our customers.
Starting in 2012, Bannister Solar & Energy Solutions expanded its product line to include Solar Shield Window Screens and Home Energy Audits, as well as becoming a licensed Generac dealer. Upon re-locating to our new facility at 1005 Crosley St. in West Monroe, we set up a custom solar screen and window screen shop and our Solar Shield Window Screens are now made right here in West Monroe. Our partnership with Generac allows us to provide Northeast Louisiana with a licensed Generac dealer and service company for Generac residential and commercial generators.
Moving forward, Bannister Solar & Energy Solutions will continue to seek new products and updated methods to improve the energy efficiency of existing properties and new construction. Rising energy cost and grid reliability is becoming a significant concern for many in our area, and Bannister Solar & Energy Solutions has positioned itself to address these concerns today and in the future.
